Qué hacen los Ecuatorianos en Internet

Tres de cada diez ecuatorianos acceden diariamente a Internet y 6 de cada diez lo hacen ocasionalmente. Según cifras de Google, más de 8,5 millones de usuarios utilizan su buscador y portales relacionados en el país hasta enero de 2015.

Entre las principales actividades se mantienen las redes sociales para comunicación personal, entretenimiento, investigación de información y noticias y acceso a recursos de estudio o empresa y actualidad deportiva como categorías destacadas.

Cifras Relevantes del INEC en Ecuador en noviembre de 2014:

  • 45,1% de usuarios  se conecta a la Internet y a las redes desde sus hogares.
  • 36,2% de las personas que utilizaron la Internet en 2012 fueron hombres.
  • 64,9% de internautas son jóvenes entre los 16 y los 24 años de edad.
  • 24,7% de hogares tiene computadoras de escritorio y el 9,8, portátiles.
  • 53,1% de las personas   usa Internet en Pichincha, la provincia más conectada.
